Zeriq ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Profile Information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign up via Google or GitHub OAuth, we receive your public profile information from that provider.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use Zeriq, including pages visited, features used, AI model selections, and session durations. This helps us improve the product and diagnose issues.
Content You Provide
Messages sent to AI teammates, files uploaded for context, and integration configurations (such as GitHub repositories or Slack channels) are processed to deliver the service.
Payment Information
Credit card details are processed by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
2. How We Use Your Information
To Provide the Service
Your data is used to operate Zeriq — processing AI requests, managing your subscription, delivering integrations, and keeping your workspace in sync.
To Improve the Product
Aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us understand which features are valuable and where to invest. We do not use your message content to train AI models without explicit consent.
To Communicate with You
We send transactional emails (account events, billing receipts, low-credit alerts) and, where you've opted in, product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
AI Model Providers
Your messages are sent to AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to generate responses. These providers have their own data handling policies. We do not share your data with AI providers for model training.
Infrastructure Partners
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and database storage, Stripe for payments, and Vercel for hosting. Each partner is bound by their own data processing agreements.
No Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
Account Data
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Conversation Data
Chat messages and room histories are retained to provide context for AI responses. You may delete individual conversations at any time from your dashboard.
5. Your Rights
Access & Portability
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by emailing privacy@zeriq.ai.
Deletion
You can delete your account from Settings → Account. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of your request.
Correction
You can update your name and email directly in Settings. For other corrections, contact privacy@zeriq.ai.
GDPR & CCPA
Users in the EU and California have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. Contact us at privacy@zeriq.ai to exercise these rights.
6. Security
Encryption
All data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest via AES-256. API keys and integration tokens are stored encrypted.
Access Controls
Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only, protected by multi-factor authentication and least-privilege principles.
7. Cookies
Essential Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
Analytics
We use privacy-preserving analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. No cross-site tracking or third-party advertising cookies are used.
8. Changes to This Policy
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
